What is 4-H?
4-H is about people and experience-centered learning. 4-H is about helping adults and youth grow, learn, and develop into the most competent people they can be. The emphasis is on "hands-on" learning that focuses on the youth's area of interest.

Every 4-H member selects at least one project. A project is what the member decides to learn about, make or raise. Sharing projects with parents brings 4-H into the family and the family into 4-H.

Who may join 4-H?

Any boy or girl, 5 years old and in Kindergarten through 19 years of age. The 4-H year begins October 1st and ends September 30th. Parents should contact the 4-H office early in the 4-H year to join the program.

Who should I contact?

For more information about joining 4-H or becoming a 4-H program volunter, please e-mail Joan Vance, Area 4-H Faculty or Carol Rieth in Grays Harbor County. Or use this link for additional office contact information.
